Float and Paddle has signed the Sustainable Tourism 2030 Pledge, to express our commitment to improving the sustainability performance of our business between now and 2030. 

The UN World Tourism Organization defines sustainable tourism as “tourism that takes full account of its current and future economic, social and environmental impacts, addressing the needs of visitors, the industry, the environment and host communities.”

Out team is committed to continuous improvement of our sustainability performance by:

• Reducing and/or offsetting our ecological impact and carbon emissions

• Hiring local when possible to support the local economy

• Promoting other complimentary tourism businesses in our locality

• Educating visitors about the history and ecology of the area in which we operate

• Enhancing cultural awareness and acknowledgement of indigenous peoples and land

• Maintaining a fully inclusive workplace and operational environment

• Donating funds to local and global environmental initiatives and ecotourism education
